Introduction

Pigment Red 48:3 (also known as Strontium Lake Pigment, Strontium Red 2B, Pigment Red 266; C.I. 12474; CAS 36968-27-1) is a vibrant and bright monoazo pigment with a bluish-red shade. It features moderate tinting strength, heat resistance up to approximately 180℃, and excellent resistance to water, oil, acid, and alkali. Additionally, it boasts outstanding migration resistance and strong light fastness (achieving a light fastness rating of 6 at 0.2% concentration in transparent formulations). Widely used for coloring plastics (such as PVC, LDPE, PS, PUR, PP, etc., suitable for flexible PVC) and packaging inks, it is also applicable in coatings, elastomers, and various ink systems including offset, solvent-based, and water-based inks. It is a cost-effective and durable high-quality coloring option for industrial applications.
