Introduction

Pigment Red 2 (C.I. 12310; CAS 6041‑94‑7) is an affordable, medium‑shade monoazo pigment. It exhibits a neutral red color, slightly yellower than C.I. Pigment Red 112. It is mainly used in offset printing inks, packaging inks, textile printing and dyeing, and stock dyeing of viscose fibers, while rarely used in coating coloring. Additionally, its clear coat resistance, high-temperature sterilization resistance, and solvent resistance are all lower than those of C.I. Pigment Red 112.
