Introduction

Pigment Red 48:2 (CAS 7023-61-2) is a copper complex monoazo lake pigment typically involving calcium or barium salts, featuring a bright blue-shifted red hue. It serves as a standard color for gravure printing inks and is suitable for NC-type packaging inks (noting a thickening tendency in water-based inks). For coloring scenarios, it exhibits no bleeding in flexible PVC, endures high temperatures of 230℃ for 5 minutes in HDPE, is widely used in LDPE coloring, and is also applicable for PP dope coloring with excellent lightfastness.
