Pigment Yellow 168 (PY168)provides a slightly greenish yellow hue, positioned tonally between Pigment Yellow 1 and Pigment Yellow 3. It exhibits excellent solvent and migration resistance in both aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbon systems. The pigment is primarily applied in coatings and plastics, where it demonstrates very good fastness properties, particularly in plasticized PVC. Despite its moderate color strength and a lightfastness rating of 6, it tends to cause dimensional deformation in HDPE. Consequently, it is most suitable for use in LDPE coloring applications where good heat stability and migration resistance are required.
