Introduction

Pigment Violet 19(PV19) exhibits excellent lightfastness and thermal stability. It is suitable for high-end industrial coatings and can be blended with inorganic pigments such as iron oxide red or molybdate red. Transparent grades are ideal for metallic decorative coatings. It is also applicable for plastics like PVC and PUR, and can withstand 300°C in polyolefins. The γ-type offers a stronger yellowish hue compared to β-type; fine γ-type particles have slightly lower lightfastness but higher transparency, while coarse γ-type provides excellent lightfastness, making it suitable for outdoor coatings.
